A little Paint Therapy
January 7, 2013 by admin • 22 Comments
Hi Y’all! I hope you’re keeping warm on this cold winter day. The sun is trying to peek out and hopefully the sunshine will bring some warmer temperatures our way. I’m still working on some small vignettes around the house after putting away Christmas. Just for fun I decided to use some gold spray paint on a couple of accent pieces that I’m planning on using in a vignette, either on the bookshelf or on the coffee table.
Here are the before and afters:
The oval shaped bowl or vase filled with faux hydrangeas, plain before the paint treatment.
Before…a ball of metal strips.
Very simple look before…a bit more sophisticated after the touch of paint was applied. I used painter’s tape on this one to get a smooth line. I think I may have to give the little “feet” a paint treatment as well.
Oh, there is some paint left in the can….let’s see what else I can paint and transform.
I hope you’re having a fantastic week… I love it when you stop by!

What fun! It reminds me of the gold edging on old and fancy plates. Great idea.

Beautiful! Amazing what a little paint can do. Definitely added some glam factor. I am impressed by the quality of the metallic paint, by Valspar.
