A Pop of Color

I love finding home-decor magazines or catalogs in the mailbox. They are filled with inspiration to restyle a home and infuse it with color and texture. While I enjoy my home being decorated in a neutral palette , I do love a pop of color here and there. So I started looking through my stash of accessories and found some blues and greens that I can work into the existing decor to freshen it up a bit.
The glassware will be used to accessorize a tabletop or small vignette in the kitchen or breakfast area. I’m keeping my eyes open for a couple more vintage mason jars like the one shown in the picture.
This “McCoy Pottery” dish will work well in one of the guest bedrooms, maybe filled with seashells or starfish?
This “squished” shape of a bowl is interesting and unusual…I think I will use it on the bookshelf in the living room, it seems to be a conversation piece.
Last but not least my most recent estate sale find… a vintage ceramic vase, in a pretty shade of green, maybe seafoam green?
So when it comes time to decorate for Spring and Summer, I’ll just shop my house and will be set.
And may I give a quick shout-out to our youngest granddaughter who celebrates her 9th birthday today - she loves music and plays the piano beautifully… we love you sweet girl!

That vase (in the last picture) is a beautiful colour! It has a very interesting shape too. I love blue mason jars. I hope you find lots!
Love the charming green pitcher. Such a pretty color to add that pop to your decor.

Hi Moni, I love the color of your items. My favorite is the pretty vase in the last picture. xx, Sherry
I love that blue-green pitcher, it’s a perfect combination with the soft colour of the rose.
My favourite colours, beautiful!

I am lovely green lately. It was my mother’s favorite color, but I never cared much for green. Lately, I have been using the green of your ceramic vase and I love it.
I’m finding that I’m really into turquoise lately. Love your McCoy dish and the turquoise vase in the last photo…and Happy Birthday to your granddaughter!! She’s so pretty and talented, too. Hugs to her and you, Babs
