A sweet Gift by Mail

February 22, 2013 by 7 Comments

Wednesday was a gloomy day….fog had settled in and there was a chill in the air.  I hear that many of you were expecting snowfall. I hope you are safe and keep warm.  I guess winter is holding on a little longer in this part of the country. Anyway, my gloominess was lifted when I heard the doorbell ring and the mail carrier handed me a package.  I knew it had to be from my dear sister, she mentioned that she put something in the mail to me.

Gift

We all love to get a package in the mail don’t we?

Vintage Dish I was so excited as I opened the box and found these fun treats. A couple of cute coffee cups/ mugs, a vintage gravy-boat, some wonderful tea with vanilla bits and yummy chocolates. I’m pretty sure these mugs will show up in one of my tablescapes before long.  And the gravy-boat?

Springtime

I’ve already started playing by adding some springtime cheer….so many possibilities!!  Stay tuned…

Well, needless to say this sweet gift just put a smile on my face.

How are you doing?  I hope your day is packed with special moments, fun surprises and your weekend is wonderful!!

What a great sis!!! Love the cups and saucers. The gravy boat is looking very “springy”….Love what you did with it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. :)

  2. What a nice gift and what a sweet sister indeed! I like how you planted the gravy boat- cute idea! Those coffe or tea cups are so sweet- love the print! It’s been gray a little too long here…I need some sun!

Yes! I too think you have a nice sister and just realized I could do the same for a few friends every now and then too! Did love the spring planting. I’d have never thought to do that! I love it!

Yeah we got snow this a.m. then it melted, then it snowed again, then it melted and sun came out. For crying out loud Mother Nature, make up your mind. The yards had just gotten dried out enough Mr. Tommy wasn’t dragging pawfuls of mud in. He hates having his feet cleaned.
Wow what a wonderful and considerate sister you have. She sent you all that? Quite a haul girl. Love idea of the tea cups, candy but the gravy boat really got me. So pretty. Happy for you. Happy Days Moni.

Aren’t sisters the BEST?? What fun to get a package that let you know she was thinking about you! I love the way you’re using the gravy boat — so pretty — and I have a number of gravy boats languishing in cupboards!

  6. Awww…what a fun treat! XO, Aimee

Gravy boats are so versatile – I bought one very similar to yours at a thrift shop and have used it for all sorts of things. And I just love Traubenhyazinthen (sorry, I only know the German name ;-)
