A Touch of Spring
Our warm weekend weather was put on “ice” when yet another cold front moved in. Saturday we enjoyed temperatures in the mid 80’s and yesterday, Sunday we barely made it out of the 20’s, with a some icy rain. It’s still cold today, but the sun is trying to peek out of the clouds. In anticipation of Spring I decided to make floral wreath for the front door. I shopped the house for most of the supplies and ended up visiting Hobby Lobby and Michaels to buy a couple more items. I totally fell in love with all of their new Spring and Easter merchandise.
I was able to recycle a grapevine wreath from a while back and found moss and tulips in my craft bin. These are my favorite “faux” tulips since they look so life like.
The blue straw flowers and the little scrolly birdie were purchased at Michaels along with a small package of twine and clothespins.
Some fun ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby was cut into strips, marked with letters and attached to a string of twine to create a mini garland welcoming “Spring”.
Isn’t he just so cute? I’m hoping hubby can create wood crafts like this on his scroll saw one of these days.
For now the wreath is parked on a rustic frame in the entry way adding a touch of Spring but, I think it will eventually end up on the front door….or maybe not….we’ll see.
Looking at these pretty colors gets me excited about Spring when everything is in bloom…..are you ready for Spring?
Thank you for visiting!
