Around the House Today

Hi Y’all! The weather is beautiful here today. We’re still enjoying warm autumn temperatures, a gentle breeze, and the birds are singing as I sit here sipping my morning coffee…aaahhh. Thank goodness for early voting, right! I’m currently working on a ” To Do” list before the Holidays. Yesterday I tackled the bookcase….taking everything off and dusting thoroughly – check!
Thought I better get a quick picture during the process- excuse the mess, oops and the handle of the step-ladder got in the way.
Finished dusting….now putting everything back….adding some fall touches (pine cones) here and there – tweaking, tweaking. I’ve long admired and swooned over some of the bookcases around blogland… they look so decorated, beautifully organized and colorized. Our book- collection consists of such a variety, old, new, hard-cover and paperbacks…so many colors (notice the orange ones?) I’ve tried arranging them according to color but that did not work for me. So for now, (today) this will do.
Talking about pine cones, I love the larger size pine cones…..Garden Ridge had plenty of them the other day!
I picked up three large ones and a bag of the smaller size. I’m looking forward to using them at Christmas time.
