After some inspiration on Pinterest I couldn’t help but create another green and white tablescape. Something about that color combination is very pleasing to the eye. I shopped the house for items needed for the centerpiece and then quickly made a mad dash to Hobby Lobby and Michaels to pick up a couple more things, like cotton bolls and faux green apples. I gathered dishes, glasses, silverware and table linens and began to set the table.
I used my everyday “Mikasa” dishes, placed on wicker chargers, accompanied by wine glasses from Germany and silverware, also from Germany. The silver was a wedding gift to us from my parents 43 years ago (vintage?) I still love it and use it frequently.
A silver bowl was filled to the brim with faux goodies, green apples, hydrangeas, succulents, cotton bolls and a couple of branches. The bowl was then placed on burlap ribbon gathered into a bow. I love how all of these different textures play in harmony together. I would have never thought of adding succulents to the mix…but it works!
The apples are real and look yummy….love that shade of green.
Our sweet potato vine is still doing great in the planter box out on the patio. I snipped off a few green leaves and tucked them into the napkin ring for a pop of color.
Rustic and refined, best describes the look I was trying to achieve…and then…Ouch! Can you tell I was in a bit of a hurry here, my candles don’t match. Please forgive me! By the time I figured it out I lost some of the daylight and it was time to clear the table and put everything away. Has that ever happened to you?
I’m so glad you stopped by – have a nice day!
