Pass the butter please! The current issue of Southern Living Magazine has some delicious butter recipes in it. You know anything “Butter” catches my eye. With Holiday Entertaining just around the corner it’s nice to be prepared and have some easy recipes on hand.
Pear Butter
Stir together : 1/2 cup softened butter, 2Tbsp pureed pear preserves, and 1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary.
Honey Butter
Stir together: 1/2 cup softened butter, 1Tbsp honey, and 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon.
Lemon-Herb Butter
Stir together: 1/2 cup softened butter, 2 tsp lemon zest, 2 tsp finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, and 1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme.
Enjoy this flavored goodness on some fresh baked rolls or bread…..yum!
Thanks for stopping by…..I love your company!

I’ve never really done anything with my butter – except garlic it. Thanks for the recipes and idea, I’ll have to keep this!
Anything with butter is better! I just bought a butter bell & have washed and all ready to add the butter.
Moni, I just love the Butter, I am almost as bad as Paula Dean. Have a great weekend and thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday.

Hi Moni, I’ve tried honey butter and lemon-herb butter, but haven’t heard of pear butter. I’m so glad you posted them, I don’t always get around to reading all the way through my issue of SL. I’ll have to give it a try. I wonder what you’d serve it with. Any ideas? Thanks for sharing!

Hi, I also saw the Southern Living recipes for the flavored butters and thought they looked great! I myself love anything with pecans so of course I first made the pecan butter. I have to say it is GREAT! I have made about four batches now, and plan on making more. I hope to try the others soon. I have always wanted to try the flavored butters but never had the recipes. I hope to continue to find more recipes and try them all, Thanks for the additional information. I would love to try the recipe for the Orange Ginger Butter that “Glenda” above was talking about! maybe if she finds the recipe she will share it with us! Have a good day everyone!
Hi Moni
just found your blog. Have to say out of a lot of Monica’s I know none of them go by Moni. The only one I know that does is my older sister Monika who prefers to go by Moni.
