Changes on the Coffee-table and please meet “Desdemona”

November 15, 2012 by 16 Comments

Don’t you love it when inspiration comes to you in the mailbox?  The Potterybarn Catalog never disappoints.  It is chock-full of great ideas for decorating and entertaining.   By now you know I like to change things up on the coffee-table.

I made a quick change on the tray. PB inspired,  I used the large hurricane I already owned, included a candle and filled the glass with faux acorns and some small faux pine clippings.

The hurricane has become a permanent fixture inside this tray.

An oversized pine-cone along with some faux pine needles makes for fun accessories inside the tray.  Can you see a little fur ball next to the small cloche?

Well,  hello there Desdemona!  Let me introduce you to our “baby”…we call her “Desdi”.   I think she is ready for me to be done taking pictures of the coffee table….it’s time for her breakfast.

Only one more, promise!   I think this tray is ready for company next week.

Okay, Ms Desdi….let me fill up your bowl.

This is what’s going on here at home. How about you? Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving?

I love it when you stop by and leave me a note….you are the BEST!

I love PB! And what a great pine cone! I remember getting those on our trip in Yosemite. You really only need one, the visual impact is created. Your decor is very inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing! You are in my favorites!

  4. So very pretty. I knew all that “piddling” around with things over the years would serve you well. It’s fun to see all the changes captured in pictures. I think PB should give you a call to do some vignette styling for them ;-)

Hi Moni! I love perusing the PB catalog! And your tray looks great. I really like the huge pine cone, and you can’t go wrong with the hurricane. Your dog is adorable! He reminds me of one I had when I was young. Have a great day!
