How is your fall decorating going? Mine is off to a slow start. I decorated the mantel and I’m sure over the next few weeks, I will be tweaking it, or changing it all together. It took me a while to get going on this project, I was waiting for the “real” pumpkins to arrive. They showed up at the market yesterday and I picked up a few baby boo’s which inspired me to gather other decor and fluff the mantel for fall. I kept most of the decorations light and airy, since our fireplace is dark brick.
I call it my “Moonlight” mantel, I don’t know why, just looks that way to me.
White pumpkins and florals, some birch wood candles, branches and leaves, old shabby urns and a chippy bird grace the mantel this time of year.
The larger pumpkin is faux…I was so happy to find the smaller boo’s to add to the arrangement. The birch wood candles came from World Market.
The shabby urns you might recognize from last years mantel decor….I love using them this time of year. They add a bit of old world charm to the mantel as does the old clock on the wall.
Some faux leaves made their way into the urns for an extra pop of color.
Another look at the mantel and living room as we ease into seasonal changes around here.
During the evening hours I added a strand of white lights to the back of the mantel… I like the soft amber glow illuminating the fall decorations. See, here I go tweaking again, can’t seem to leave it alone.
I’m so thrilled you stopped by, come back soon and we’ll chat!
