Early Fall Wreath

Happy Labor Day, friends!  Can you believe it is the first day of September?  Fall is officially getting closer which puts me in the mood for a little fall decorating. Hubby started on some woodworking projects this past weekend and made this huge wood pumpkin out of  recycled fence board, it looks really cool and will be displayed on our front porch before long. I began my fall decorating by adding a little fall to the front door.  I took down the summer wreath and changed the look of this wreath, by switching out the florals and adding some fall flowers, berries, leaves and a new ribbon. Done.

I shopped Michaels for the florals, leaves and ribbon, and my house for the berries, pods and some spanish moss. Since I was recycling the summer wreath, I removed all of the daisies, greenery and glue dots.   Then I started layering the fall florals and tucking in a little spanish moss here and there.  Everything was glued in place and the ribbon was attached.

The letter L was recycled in this fall arrangement,  I still like the polka dots on my front door.

The white berries show up nicely here and compliment the white color on the initial.

For a more rustic look I used the backyard fence as a backdrop in this photo.

I love this time of year, looking forward to crisp mornings, cool days and the trees changing colors, not to mention great recipes and fun fall decorations!!

Thank you for visiting!
