Eggs and Feathers
March 14, 2013 by admin • 15 Comments
On one of my recent trips to Hobby Lobby I purchased some eggs and feathers; these would be perfect for yet another small Spring- project I had in mind. Did I mention easy? I love easy crafts!
This little pot, filled with (faux) everything Spring is adding some cheer to the dresser in the guest-room.
I started out by painting a small terra-cotta pot with some grey paint that was left-over from previous projects.
Once the paint dried, I applied some glue and gently pressed the feathers onto the pot. Aren’t these feathers cute? Love the little dots on them!
These are some of the items I added to the little flower-pot, Spring flowers, moss and eggs.
I think Spring has sprung all over my house lately….it’s a Spring thing!
I am so glad you “hopped on over” I love your visits and sweet comments!

That is so clever and chic! I love the color combination. Wish I were staying in your guest room this week!

That’s what I like about you neat crafters! You think outside the box. I have the above articles at home, already, but never would have thought to put them together! Thanks for all the inspirational ideas.
That is sweet, great job!
Just started following you too! Love this cute pot with flowers, feathers and eggs. XO, Pinky
Very Cute, Thanks for sharing.
Very nice Moni. All you’d have to do is take the eggs out to use your gorgeous arrangement for rest of summer. Very very pretty, love it. You have a great talent. Happy Days
Amazing!
You know I could have 10 bags of those items (and I’ll start whinning in a minute explaining why I don’t have) and would never see that far beyond the box, or out of the box…
You have amazing talent. And you make us believe it is as simple and easy as that.
Congratulations! And thank you!!!

I wish I had all those amazing stores you seem to have in your Country. You can’t imagine how difficult it is, for example, to find eggs – of non eatable kind
– in my country… and as I decide things very on top of the moment, I end up not having the chance to order… ok, I said it, it’s done. I wouldn’t achieve what you do with them, but at least I’d still have them around ahahaha

This is so cute, Moni! I really like the feathers added to the pot.
Just wanted to thank you for following my blog. I can’t seem to find your “follow” button to follow back. I am following on Pinterest!
Aha! So THAT’S how you get the paint to go smoothly onto those terra cotta pots! I have learned something valuable here today! I’m not much with crafts – easy or otherwise – so it’s nice to pick up on little things here and there. I have some of those sponge stick things, but had no idea what they were for. I’ve been using them to clean out the lines on my desk and the spaces on my keyboard!!! I really, really like the project you created here! The feathers make all the difference in the world for taking it over the top! And that looks like a can of paint like one would use to paint a wall…I had no idea that could be used for other stuff! Again, I’m not exactly a whiz at crafts!
But seeing that lets me know I can use some leftover paint for our master bath to paint some pots for the adjacent master bedroom. Cool! Have a great weekend!
What a beautiful transformation! This looks great Moni, and is TOTALLY A Spring Thing!!! Love it!!!
Thanks so much for linking up at the FESTIVE FRIDAY FIESTA this week! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Oh that’s so cute Moni! Great idea to paint the pot and glue the feathers to the top. I’m going to have to give that one a try. Thanks for the idea, I’m pinning it!
