Fresh Flowers in a Spice Jar

January 10, 2014 by 3 Comments

Just the other day I perused Pinterest for some much needed inspiration and found these beautiful Valentine’s Day floral arrangements that made my heart go pitter patter.  Sweet ideas and great eye candy…don’t you think?

Okay, I sort of copied one of the arrangements in the pictures and put my latest Anthropologie purchase to good use…Aimee and I visited the store a while back and picked up a couple of items.  This small chalkboard spice jar jumped in my basket, I was sure I would love it on the kitchen counter.

Valentine's Day

Fresh flowers are such a treat on a cold winter day, so I filled my little spice jar with bright red mini carnations, an early nod to Valentines’ Day which is just around the corner; and added a sweet message that makes me smile.

Thank you for visiting!   I hope your weekend is wonderful!

  1. One word…LOVE. This is so sweet! Love your spin with the cheery red carnations!

Great idea for the spice jar. Love the chalkboard label.

This is such a cute use of the chalkboard labels. It’s always challenging (at my house, anyway) to find something cute and small to put flowers in. I may have to make a trip to Anthropologie and see if one will hop in my bag!
