I found my lost Sheep

November 23, 2012 by 8 Comments

I’ve been looking for my wooden sheep for some time now ~ I had no idea what happened to them…and was ready to give up the search.  After getting a couple of storage containers from the attic and looking through a box of Christmas decorations I found what I was looking for.   What a nice surprise!

It all started when I was gifted some “sheep” dishes and over time the collection grew. Wooden sheep decor, dishes, ornaments, etc., I loved them all.

The collection didn’t get too big but over time I let go of most of the items,  I was perfectly  okay with that.  However, I still have the sheep dishes (there are more dishes to this set than shown on this picture) and I kept a couple of  the wooden sheep (favorites).

Now I can’t help but  think of all the  Christmas related collections I’ve enjoyed over the years, like angels, santas, snowmen and handcrafted wooden art  from the Erzgebirge in Germany.  So many fun things!  I can’t wait to include some of those treasures in my Christmas decor this year.

What about you?  Are you a collector?

I’m so glad you stopped by for a visit…..have a wonderful week!

I’m not. I don’t seem able to start or keep adding to collections.
I love your sheep. I’ve used some in decor but I’ve never seen any like yours – they’re precious.
Looking forward to see what you come up with.
Have a Nice and Inspiring Weekend,
    Teresa

I love your sheep and so glad you found it. I do that all the time and it drives me crazy until I can locate the item. :)
I collect snowmen. Have for quite some time. I have gotten rid of some through the years and am very selective on buying any new ones. It really can get out of hand if you allow it to.

  5. I have always loved your sheep collection. So much symbolism and memories associated with all your pieces. I love the sheep plate with the almonds. I don’t think I’ve seen that one before. Fun collection.
