January Revisited

February 2, 2013 by 11 Comments

Happy February!   According to “Phil”  we will have an early Spring. He didn’t see his shadow today.   I’m always looking forward to Spring…seems like it doesn’t last nearly long enough though before the hot temperatures lead us right into the Summer months.  For now we are enjoying somewhat warmer days and cool nights.  Today I would like to revisit a couple of my favorite posts that I shared with you during the month of January.

Entry Way Vignette After all of the Christmas stuff was put away I decorated the entry with this Wintery Whimsey Terrarium.

Pom-Pom Pillow I had lots of fun making pom-poms and added a little flair to a plain pillow, shown right here…Pom-Pom Pillow .

schneegloeckchen-6 Love the sight of beautiful snowdrops….shared about them here.

Ornament 2 This was an ornament found on clearance and it became a focal point in my “Hot Cocoa Station”.

Lemon-Poppy Seed Bread Last but not least, I enjoyed making this Lemon Poppy Seed Bread and had enough to share with friends.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, your visits make me happy and I’m always looking forward to reading your sweet notes.

Good morning Moni! I loved all of your January posts, except somehow I missed your beautiful winter terrarium. I’ll have to go back and take a peek at that. Still want to give your lemon poppyseed recipe a try too. Enjoy your Sunday!

Oh Phooey! Early spring. I haven’t had much of a winter yet. I like colder weather. Bundling up, soups, fuzzy houseshoes, etc. Can throw on a jacket and run to the store without changing clothes. ha. I enjoyed your January review.

I made the lemon – poppy seed cake in a bundt pan, it is so good, better 2 days later as the lemon flavor is full flavor.
    Thank you!

This is the first year I haven’t heard a thing about ground hog day so I am happy to hear it will be an early spring! I love your nod to spring touches, subtle and so pretty. Your pom pom pillow is adorable and yum, I do love poppy seed cake…need to make some soon. Great photos
