Organizing the Pantry
February 20, 2013 by admin • 4 Comments
Colder temperatures and lots of wind keep me close to home today. I can always find something productive to do. Yesterday I ended up at the Dollar Store and stocked up on clear storage bins and boxes. I’m determined to work on organizing the built-ins. Pantry, cabinets and closets. So this morning this is what I’ve been up to:
Our pantry before….(please excuse the blurry picture).
And after, much better. Using some of the clear bins and boxes, labeling them will help keep items better organized in the pantry. After showing my progress to my husband, he informed me that we have a label-maker. Hmmm…..so now I’m off to find the label-maker and replace my hand-written labels.
How are you doing today? I hope you’re having a wonderful and productive week! So glad you stopped by!

Like you, Moni, I can always find something to do or work on at home. I’m never bored if I’m stuck in the house all day! It’s amazing how clutter and unorganized our pantries can get, isn’t it? I’m sure it feels good to have it all organized now.
I have a pantry & last September I couldn’t stand it anymore. I couldn’t find anything, items were not categorized, so I went to Hobby Lobby when they have their glass sale & slowly bought glass containers, labeled them & put all my baking items on one shelf, pasta in containers, teas, sugars, etc..It’s a big job, but sooo well worth it. I didn’t want to go out today either, but had 2 MD appointments..
And, I hate to bother you again, but do you remember where you got that awesome wreath that you display on that shutter?
Thank you!!
There are a few words in English that send me straight to lalaland. One is Pantry.
I can’t say why
- well, in fact I can because my Aunts (they belonged to post-war generation), who raised me, had one of those amazing Pantries that made you feel safe. In case something happened we’d be provided for quite some – long – time. And you don’t forget those sensations of first years, I guess) –
And then, being an organised person I always love to imagine in new ways to redo and organise it.
Yours looks amazing. Don’t you love tidiness and organization? At least, after we “get it”?
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa
It looks great Moni! Want to come over and organize mine?
It could really use it!!
