Simple Spring Vignette

Lately, I’m loving the fresh look of blue and white, especially on the breakfast table. This lovely white hyacinth has been blooming for a while now and I’ve enjoyed it’s sweet scent. It’s been part of a small vignette that I created a while back, adding a touch of Spring to this spot.
I gathered a couple of items from the house and placed them on this mirrored tray that I found at a local decor shop. It was love at first sight for me. I liked the simplicity of the tray and the mirror that reflects the light so beautifully on items placed on top, didn’t think twice about bringing it home that day.
Gathered items placed on the tray include a couple of blue and white vintage plates and an antique silver spoon resting in a glass vase; a glass jar with a spool of twine, the hyacinth placed in a wicker basket, some faux spring flowers for additional color and a mossy ball for added texture.
Some of the pieces show some signs of well loved usage….the plates, the spoon and the table runner.
The vintage table runner has been repaired in several places, fine mending and stitching that blends in with the natural linen fabric…hardly noticeable…but it’s there and it adds lovely charm and character to the piece. The perfect companion to my imperfect blue and white spring vignette.
