Simply Sweet Table

April 25, 2013 by 11 Comments

Springtime is my most favorite time of the year. Warm sunshine, gentle breezes and birds chirping in the morning.  No surprise that we enjoy a good time on the patio these days and take small celebrations outside.  I purchased these fun daisies a couple of days ago, the color was just so cheerful, I couldn’t resist using them in a pretend tablescape.  I hope you don’t mind. Birthday Breakfast 3

I draped a vintage cross-stitch tablecloth over the patio table and set an enamel pitcher filled with happy daisies on top.

A ceramic basket with two little birds perched on either side was filled with a faux boxwood ball.

Sweet vintage plates….love the look of the faded roses and scalloped edges on the plates….so dainty.

Birthday Breakfast I mentioned my sister’s birthday coming up in a previous post, also dil Aimee’s birthday will be celebrated in a couple of days. This simple table-setting would be perfect to enjoy a cup of tea or small brunch with the birthday girls.  If it weren’t for the many miles between us, right?

I hope you have a great day…thanks so much for stopping by to visit!

    Dear Moni,
Your table looks just too cute. I would just like to sit down and enjoy a cup of tea with you on your patio.
    German greetings from Scotland,

  2. So pretty–makes me wish I were having tea there

Beautiful tablescape…weather here has been too cold to do anything outside yet or sit on the patio. It’s supposed to warm up this weekend, so I’m hoping to get my patio in shape on Sunday!

What a perfect spot for a nice long chat…and those rose scalloped saucers are gorgeous!

What a sweet tea table and the tablecloth is just beautiful! The cups and saucers with the flowers are very elegant with the flowers. I love tea and was fortunate to have tea with my Mother at the nursing center where she resides. They were having a talk on England and served tea and scones. It was a good day for she was feeling better. I know your celebrations are wonderful on your outdoor patio.

  6. A beautiful table, Moni. I love the cross stitched cloth!

I love those little daisies and I have bought them but do not even know what they are called! Such great cheerful colors.
Gerber daisies affect me the same way. They just bring a smile, don’t they!?

Thanks for linking up today, Moni!

  8. What a sweet table setting! I love the flowers and the little basket with the birds on it.
