A little Family Time

Time flies when you’re having fun, we had a super fun time in the DFW area and made it back home today. The past few days have been busy and I would like to share some of  the highlights with you. I hope you don’t mind me bragging on my sweet grandkids for a moment.  The first few days of our visit were spent  at our daughter’s house in Ft. Worth.  We had a great visit, lots of  family time. Mid-week I enjoyed watching our youngest granddaughter perform in a musical at her church.

The next day off to the airfield we went to watch our grandson show off his flying skills at the Ft.Worth R C Airfield.  It was the perfect afternoon to spend outdoors and gaze up into the blue Texas sky.

This was so much fun to watch…the planes looked so real!

Brother and sister also performed at a piano recital….they made it look so easy!!  Both of them played beautifully and were recognized by their teacher for their accomplishments.

Our two youngest grandsons won 2nd place in the Colleyville Premier baseball league.  We are so proud of them.

This is our oldest granddaughter, I caught up with her while  she was watching her brothers play ball. She is our little ballerina and she had a beautiful performance on Sunday afternoon.

On Monday we traveled back home, our hearts were overflowing with thankfulness and just sheer amazement over the talent of our sweet grands.  How was your weekend?

So glad you stopped by !

What is going on…

Hi sweet friends!  Sorry for my delay in posting…we heard about Mark’s passing mid-week and our hearts are heavy as we think about the loss of this young man. Mark is the husband of Anna and you can read Anna’s blog unending peace to find out about this sweet family and their difficult journey during the past months.  Anna is Aimee’s sister (Aimee is our dil).  Their families have been through deep valleys this year, yet strengthened by their faith in our Lord Jesus they manage to navigate through life one step at a time.  Please be in prayer for these precious families.

I will chat with you soon, I appreciate you so much and love the sweet comments you leave for me.

It will be a Grand week!

Hello there!  Time is passing by so quick lately, I just realized I haven’t posted in a few days. How is your summer going?  Don’t you love the cooler weather we’ve had for a few days now?  Makes me wish for fall weather already, not to rush the season or anything. I haven’t really tackled any projects lately.  I found this sweet chalkboard at Tuesday Morning recently and decided to use it in our breakfast area.

Chalkboards are so much fun!  I never knew what I’ve been missing!  I created this little welcome sign using chalk markers and regular chalk – I bet you can guess who will be coming to town this weekend….and we are so excited!!  Three of our grandchildren are planning to spend a week with us…we are all giddy about it!  I know we’ll have lots of fun with them doing whatever grandma and grandpa do best – spoil the grandchildren.

Thank you for visiting!
