I Heart my Pillow

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and although I don’t decorate much for Valentines, a couple of “Lovies” here and there make my heart smile. I found this pillow at Kirkland’s the other day and I talked myself into buying it. I know, I have a passion for pillows,  I thought it would be perfect for our bedroom.

For Valentine’s day I was looking to add a pop of color to the pillow. Something very simple,  and with this in mind I searched my craft supplies for some felt or fabric hearts which I could easily attach to the pillow. ( A dot of glue, how simple is that?)

There, that was easy enough …just a small embellishment made this pillow a bit more special.  It’s amazing what a pop of color can do.  That is my craft for the day, can you believe it?  So simple but I thought I share it with you anyway…because I love you!

The Other Wall

Hi friends! I hope your week is off to a good start!  I woke up really early to rumble and rain this morning, welcomed rain for sure.  Recently I talked about refreshing our guest room.  It wasn’t a huge makeover or anything – I’ve re-upholstered the headboard, added some new pillows to the bed and changed out the curtains. On the other wall, opposite from the bed I added this white mirror from Target, it is the perfect size for this space and adds light color and sparkle to the room.

This fun galvanized bucket with rope handles also jumped in my basket at Target.  I think it looks so pretty filled with a happy plant I bought at Walmart and a sweet heart I found in my box of “this and that” and decided to attach it to one of the rope handles.

And while shopping at Walmart I found this white pillow with a sweet scalloped trim, it came home with me and ended up in the guest room.

I like how fresh and summery this room feels right now….like a summer breeze!  Still contemplating painting this bench…can you believe I haven’t even tried chalk paint yet?  I see another fun project on the horizon.

As always, thank you for visiting!
