A Fresh New Look

Last weekend with paint-brush in hand I gave a couple of vintage pieces a fresh new look.  One of happened to be a small dresser which I shared about it here.  The other item was a primitive side-table I picked up at an estate sale years ago.  It’s a small round table that has been moved around from room to room and is now residing in the living room.

I decided to leave top as is and painted the bottom portion of the table only.

Love the patina on top ….it just adds more character to the table.

Here she is in the living-room….sporting a new look!

This little bird looks like he’s lost…

Oh, I have to show off my fountain pen from ? years ago, (vintage??? right).  I’ve included it in this small table-top vignette of old books and such.

One last look at the table-top since it will probably be changed up a bit for Spring in the next week or two.  Can you believe Easter is just right around the corner?  Have you started your “Spring Decorating”?

As always, such a pleasure to have you visit “at Home”.

Sheep and Shamrock

Hi there, how are you?  I hope you’re well…..hubby and I have caught a spring cold over the weekend.  No fun!  To make myself feel better I picked up this cute shamrock plant while shopping at the local market.  I love having fresh flowers and plants around, they put a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

It’s almost St.Patrick’s day, this plant paired up with a couple of other items will be perfect sitting on the breakfast table.

The rustic tray, made out of reclaimed fence board was used once again. Hubby made it last year and I talked about it here.

The wooden sheep is one of my favorite, this one and my set of “sheep dishes”…I’m not sure if I’ll do another tablescape with the dishes but just in case you want to see, here is a link to last years spring table.

For everyone on Spring Break this week….I hope you’ll enjoy some fun in the sun and make some happy memories, okay?   Oh, and be well!

Thank you for visiting !

A Touch of Spring on the Coffee Table

Better late than never – I just got back from the grocery store with a bunch of yellow tulips. Fresh flowers make me happy!!  Time to create a quick spring vignette before Easter arrives.  The coffee table was begging for a touch of Spring and these yellow tulips were just what was needed.

The seagrass tray on the coffee table usually holds the hurricane and magazines.  I found the blue and white bowl at TJ Maxx a while back, it came home with me and landed in this spot on top of some magazines.  I simply added some filler to the bowl and a handful of Easter eggs.

This is my version of a sweet spring nest if you will, of course the eggs are fake but I think they look real. I love the different sizes, shapes and colors of the eggs, aren’t they cute?

Morning sunshine casting shadows…

No bunnies this year, they are tucked away in a box, the only one that made it out this year is attached to the spring wreath on the front door. We’ll be spending Easter with family in the Dallas area.  We can’t wait to spend time with the grands….it’s been way too long!!

Thank you for visiting, and a Happy Easter to you!
