The decorated Bird Nest

March 11, 2013 by 14 Comments

Hi sweet friends!  How was your weekend? Our’s went by way too quick.  I think many of you are enjoying Spring-break with your little ones this week.  Perfect opportunity to take a mini-vacation, maybe even traveling to grandma’s house? hint-hint!?!  Well, safe travels where ever you’re headed.  Speaking of Spring…I’m still having fun adding small touches of Spring here and there and everywhere.   Birdnest It was time to fluff the bird nest…by adding some fresh green moss and an egg vase filled with pansies.  Do you remember this bird nest from last year?

Birdnest 1 This is how I started out, gathering the bird nest, pansies and moss. I began to glue some moss to the nest and was looking for something to set inside.

Birdnest 2 Perfect,  sweet and simple way  to  ”Welcome to Spring”.

Thanks for stopping by,  I appreciate your visits and comments so much!   You are the BEST!

You’ve really inspired me, I’ve been digging out my birds nests and looking for attractive containers to put them in. Your nest looks so real and very pretty. I’ll have to get some light green moss. All I have is the dreary looking stuff, not appropriate for spring at all. Love the egg vase with pansie in it, so sweet and really makes me think of Spring.
It’s pretty nice here today but still a chilly breeze. Nice enuf tho to be able to hang out my flannel sheet to dry. Hope it’s getting nicer where you are. Happy Days

I love pansies – they are one of my favorite flowers! No pansies in sight here yet at any of the garden shops. Still too early. Can’t wait!

  7. How sweet! What cute ideas you have!
